Great Santa Monica accommodation for Families

Posted under General by on Monday 30 November 2009 at 9:55 am

Just before the start of the holiday season, I have nabbed a great deal. This is not any discount on apparel or electronic items but a subscription to Direct TV. I was going through some basic searching on the Internet when I came across this Web site. It was pretty simple to browse the Direct TV Packages.

My choice among these Direct TV Deals was the $29.99 package as this was the cheapest and the most beneficial package available. By paying this small amount, I was able to receive more than 150 channels on my TV screen. This was in addition to other choices and offers available with the package.

Direct TV Service is suitable for most Americans in the sense that it provides more entertainment than anyone can ask for. This affordable offer is available until 2011 and is a major perk for many customers. I, for one, have no plans of changing my service provider until that time. Even after 2011, I am planning to opt for another package that offers a greater number of TV and radio channels. I am hoping that the company will offer some more discounts then; after all, a girl can always dream.

Dede Wilsey Understands the Psyche of Giving

Posted under Fund by on Sunday 29 November 2009 at 9:25 pm

The fundraising for rebuilding of the de Young Museum was not the only issue for Dede Wilsey. She also had to play an important role in selecting and finalising the architects. Other aspects of the project included canvassing with the politicians, commissioning new genre of art and selecting flooring made of Italian stone so that it remains user friendly for visitors wearing high heels. Dede Wilsey knew that people were ready to pay for new projects but would not proffer for old architecture already crumbling. Yet she did not lose heart and went ahead with the fundraising. Her perseverance and steadfastness finally brought her laurels when she was able to generate sufficient funds for the old structure.

Dede Wilsey has developed an insight into the human psyche. She knows that a person who is wearing a $10 million jewellery and suit would often not mind to buy a piece of art for few million dollars.  One day when she saw a beautiful damsel sitting in a sun room, wearing a gold necklace and earrings. Looking at her costly dress and jewellery, Dede Wilsey could guess that here was the right person to talk to.  After little effort, she was able to sell a $5 million gallery to this hazed eyed blonde.

Cute and cozy!

I find comfort in the fact that my little ones are comfortable. From loulouscorner.com, I shop for the cutest children wear with genuine and original, owner created characters like appaman which is an inspiration from young happy times.  I get a variety of apparel like vintage t-shirts and polos. I also buy cuddly, soft toys for my 2 year old from jellycat  which is a special brand that also provides baby soft books which engage and entertain your little ones! Give you toddlers a new best friend from barnyard animal stuffed toys for jellycat who are colorful, warm and adorable.

barefoot dreams is also a magical brand at the same place where you can buy the coziest blankets and throws for not just babies but also toddlers and adults. This beautiful and cuddly line also provides chic and comfy sleep wear for babies and adults. Isn’t it just the best? Shopping for your children’s comfort and for your own – from the very same place! I have bought a beautiful pair of satin pajamas for myself and also a bathrobe with the softest touch for my husband from here.

You personalized water works!

I have recently joined this amazing Swim Spa called HyroWorx which is one of the best Swim Spas for personal, healthcare and sports purposes. These amazing pools have unique aquatic therapy equipment which provides dynamic and state of the art facilities like a Water treadmill. I totally love the underwater treadmill experience; excellent traction on rubberized treadmill belts and can be used by bare feet or shoes.

I look forward to these unique underwater retro-walking, sprinting and back pedaling activities which has greatly improved my cardiovascular stamina. Prior to joining this spa I used to feel stiffness in my joints but had accepted it as something inevitable, given my 55 years of age. But after this underwater walking, I feel this stiffness fading away! It is becoming my favorite past time and often enjoy these activities with my friends. My doctor is happy with me too as my blood pressure level has reduced to a very desirable level. HydroWorx , I believe, completely stands out amongst other competitors as they have differentiated their spa facilities into something much more exciting, fun and at the same time extremely beneficial for health.

Wide range of trendy shoes

Posted under General by on Wednesday 25 November 2009 at 11:47 pm

I was searching for bridal shoes that were cheap and stylish. I had spent a lot on my bridal dress so when it came to the shoes, I obviously wanted something that suited my dress but at the same time I was looking for not so expensive trendy shoes. At your store, I must say I found my dream shoes; it was even amazing to know that you also offer dyeable shoes, as my dress, though was white but it had some multi colored embellishments to which I wanted to match my shoes with. Anyhow, from your wide range of shoes, I was stuck as to which of the many to buy. Ivory shoes demonstrated were just fantastic. I was overwhelmed to see that they were not only available in high, low and medium heels but also in flats, because I am a tall girl, I was looking for flat ivory shoes that I found only at your store. Viewing the high range of White shoes at your online store, I thought these were the most stylish I had seen during my entire hunt for shoes. Available in categories of shoes and sandals, my bridesmaid picked hers from here. Keep it up!

Finally, an easy Virtual Private Network!

Posted under Technology by on Friday 13 November 2009 at 9:47 am

VPN’s just sound expensive to deploy.  I outsource my networking to a specialist, but was taken aback by the price point when I requested VPN access to our network.
I found we needed to upgrade the firewall, buy new licenses for our Exchange Server and set up dedicated VPN usernames for each user.
We did all of this and then found that half the time the VPN service would go down right in the middle of something and you’d be kicked out.

That’s when I stumbled across WebPoint by Vedivi.  No high-ticket price, setup fees or slow connections!  I simply installed the free software on my office PC and within 20 minutes I was able to remotely connect to my PC from outside the network.
Basically, it bypasses all the usual VPN mumbo-jumbo and creates a tunnel to the WebPoint site.  You log in on the site with a username and password and the software creates a secure channel between your PC’s.  I even found that I could browse all the PC’s in my office – very cool indeed.
Try it Free for yourself.

Translating names

Posted under General by on Thursday 12 November 2009 at 9:23 am

Many times as marketing people we try to create business names that are in the native language of the area or fit with the local customs. There are some brands which portray a certain image of an area or something and then we name the brand according to its qualities as well. It is also important when we are naming something that we don’t commit any cultural blunders in the brand names.

I use the website translia.com for name translation which helps me in giving my clients the names which they require. It also does brand translation which you can use with your business product. Thanks to the internet, everything we require can be found online now. The website works in such a fast way that you get online translation of every name you use, which means a click-go system is available 24/7.

I am a big fan of the website and this has helped me in maintaining my advertising business on the sidelines as well. Life couldn’t be simpler for us people since the internet is playing such vital roles in it. Now that the world is becoming one community and as marketers we are working for clients all over the world, it is a great service.

The best holidays ever…..

Posted under General by on Thursday 12 November 2009 at 9:21 am

I have been in awe since my last vacations, which were so beautiful and peaceful that I am just waiting for the next time I get a month of holidays. Getting out of the city is pretty hard for me because I tend to be a turtle who likes his own shell.  However once I get out I always wonder why I didn’t do it earlier.

The place I visited last time was Myrtle Beach, which is going to be a repeated destination this year. I was not in the mood to leave the town but my girlfriend was after me to go to a place where I could loosen up and relax.

So I did some research over the internet and found a website which had the answers to all my questions, seasidemb.com. I checked out all the information they had regarding the Myrtle Beach Resorts. The one I chose for our staying was Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resort, which gave me everything I required.  The Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resorts offer everything you need on a vacation; a comfortable room, a long shot golf course, beach and peace.

It was so great that now I am planning to go to Myrtle Beach Resorts this year as well.

Crowd Control made easy

Posted under General by on Thursday 12 November 2009 at 9:20 am

I am involved in organizing trade shows and one of the biggest problems we face with the huge number of people pouring into the stalls and booths is crowd control.

There are many companies providing us with the equipment we need for controlling a big crowd. One of them is Camel Back Displays, which provide things like velvet rope and stanchions for VIP guests, or  barricades for a bigger crowd which could get a little messy and needs proper speed breakers.

I always make sure control crowd equipment is present at the event because things take a blink of an eye in getting out of control. If the trade show booth is offering the public something valuable or particularly interesting, we often have hoardes of people coming in and it can create a serious security risk.

The security people can only help in those situations if you have the proper equipment to make people fall into organized cues. So I have learned from experience to always be prepared for the unexpected and make sure crowd control systems are organized and in place. Keeping people in organize lines is often difficult but with the help of Camel Back Display equipment, it can be made so much easier.
